As a human, as a woman, as a mother, as someone who has worked in the field of journalism for quite some years - but above all as a human - it is sad to see how many lessons of our global past are still being ignored. Which is why I was extremely happy to listen to @chermannaachappa’s ‘story by the lamp’ today, titled: Period-Story of Every Girl.
Taking a virtual tour can be a nice way to spend some time when in quarantine. Sharing one of my personal favourites from the website of @museofridakahlo of ‘The Blue House’. You can find the direct link to the museum tours in bio for the next 24 hours.
Photographer @paolomiranda86 posted such a touching photo of Dr. Pierluigi Farina (regrammed in stories), who was retired but is now back at work, helping COVID-19 patients, according to the caption. Who has taken the time to look at more of his photos will discover that @paolomiranda86’s significant other, @corinnelablasca, is also one of those #heroes, even though the photographer’s series is called ‘We are not heroes but people”.
This is a story about hope and respect. Why? Let me start by saying my heart goes out to everyone who has lost loved ones to COVID-19, to those who are fighting the virus, to the people around them and taking care of them and to anyone who’s been traumatically affected by it in one way or another.
INTERVIEW - Chermanna Achappa was educated, had a secure job and seemed to have it all. But he was secretly crying his heart out when no one could see it. In these times of sadness and uncertainty, we thought Chermanna’s story about true introspection might bring some inspiration.
Continuing the TALK (video) with @gaayathri.periasami as we dive deeper into what true #sustainability means - and how to make the right choices while living in a distraction economy. We discuss the importance of self-preservation, the United Nations sustainable development goals and why the ‘high price equals sustainable’ mindset needs to change.
A couple of reasons why you should watch Part 2 of the TALK with sustainable entrepreneur @gaayathri.periasami tomorrow (video).
TALK (video): Australian lawyer with a sustainable ‘side hustle’ @gaayathri.periasami was up for the challenge. Unprepared. Not edited. Just an honest conversation. From her experiences with racism to her sustainable empowerment mission: watch PART 1 of 2 now via #linkinbio.
